Underpinning Complete at PEC
DCG recently completed the complicated underpinning at PEC Headquarters in Warrenton, VA. The underpinning involved excavating by hand under the existing 2 story building and pouring approximately 8 feet of concrete deep under the existing footings to allow for a basement addition. The PEC project involves a three-story addition which will house office space and meeting rooms. It also includes complete plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems, including a state of the art geothermal heating system, as well as finishes a spacious pergola. The project will also include renovations to the existing building; which is one of the oldest buildings in Warrenton. We expect completion to be in July 2015!
